Hong Kong is an incredible city that has something to offer everyone. Whether you’re looking for amazing food, top-notch shopping, breathtaking views, or just a good time, Hong Kong is the place to be. But when is the best time to visit?

Read on to find out.

1. Four Seasons In Hong Kong

Hong Kong has a pleasant climate, and the beauty of natural scenery is often overlooked. There are many places worth visiting in all seasons. If you’re considering when to come to Hong Kong, remember that different seasons offer different itineraries and activities. Hong Kong has a variety of activities for all ages throughout the year, and please refer to the following activities to decide when coming to Hong Kong is the most suitable for you.

2. Spring:

Flower Show at Victoria Park (Victoria Park Flower Show)
The flower show is held in mid-March and lasts more than ten days yearly. It is a much-loved traditional exhibition. The protagonists are carefully arranged flowers and greenery. There is also an annual competition where experts in florists and amateurs in Chinese tradition compete for the best flower arrangement in various categories.

Thousands of locals and gardening enthusiasts worldwide flock to the park for the festive atmosphere and stunning floral arrangements throughout the event. Spring in Hong Kong is perfect for strolling around parks, with an average temperature between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.

If you like flower displays when the weather is clear, spring is the best time to come to Hong Kong. Victoria Park is conveniently located near the V residence in the Causeway Bay area, about a 3-minute walk from V Causeway Bay and an 8-minute walk from V Causeway Square.

3. Hot Summer:

Sunny Beach
Hong Kong in summer is the best season for those who like sunshine and beaches. The city is famous for its grand city skyline and noisy streets, but its coastline is dotted with more than 40 stunning sandy beaches. There is something for everyone on the beach: swimming, surfing, and sunbathing.

Here are some of the most beautiful beaches in Hong Kong.

3.1.  Shek O Beach

Shek O Beach is adjacent to the famous Longji Hiking Trail, where you can enjoy the cool sand after hiking or enjoy a seaside barbecue at one of the many places in the area. Dragon’s Back can be easily reached by taking a minibus from the Shau Kei Wan Terminus east of the Hong Kong Island Line of the Urban MTR.

3.2. Big Wave Bay

Big Wave Bay is Hong Kong’s only official surfing beach. Here, you can rent surfboards or lie on the shore and watch experienced surfers tackle the waves. A rock carving dating back to the Han Dynasty on the beach is also a legal, cultural relic.

3.3. Repulse Bay

The golden soft sand of Repulse Bay is the best in Hong Kong. Our team agrees that a weekday nap in the shade of a tree is a hidden version of enjoyment. The resort-like relaxed atmosphere allows for peaceful swimming and reflection.

3. Autumn is high and refreshing: climbing high and looking far

The dense cityscape and rooftop bars are full of charm, but the crisp autumn air is the best time to climb. Our favorite route is the Tai Tam Reservoir Hiking Trail, which is one of the easiest hiking trails in Hong Kong and provides a rich local natural and cultural experience in Hong Kong. There are as many as 21 statutory cultural relics on the 5-kilometer trail. The Tai Tam Reservoir was Hong Kong’s main water source during the colonial period.

To get there from V Causeway Bay, please ask our customer service team how to take bus number 76 to Yangming Shanzhuang Station, where you can start your hike from Wong Nai Chung Reservoir Park.

4. Winter in the Southern Kingdom:

Celebrations

Hong Kong, where East meets West, has a strong festive atmosphere from Christmas all the way to the Lunar New Year in February. Winter is undoubtedly the best time to visit Hong Kong for lovers of festive lighting, richly decorated malls, cozy hot pot dinners, and holiday shopping sprees.

Christmas

Both Ocean Park and Disneyland hold their own Christmas markets during the New Year. Locals prefer Ocean Park because it is known for its exciting rides and is closer to the city center. Ocean Park has pioneered Hong Kong’s first virtual reality roller coaster, as well as seasonal festivities such as Santa’s Village and a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree.

New Year Countdown

As one of the best fireworks displays in the world, New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong often brings together discussions about where to see the best fireworks. Popular choices include Causeway Bay Times Square or Victoria Peak. If you are a resident of our higher floors at One Castle Road, you can sit at home and enjoy the fireworks without facing the crowds!

Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is the largest and most colorful festival in Hong Kong. The days are calculated according to the lunar calendar, usually in early February. One of the highlights is the parade around Victoria Harbour, where dozens of floats parade through the streets with bands, skaters, dancers, jugglers, and more. The city also celebrates this important Chinese festival with another stunning fireworks display over the sea.

There are different opinions on when is the most beautiful time in Hong Kong, but this vibrant Hong Kong is suitable for travel all year round. The city offers a variety of exciting seasonal events at any time of the year. No matter when you visit, mouth-watering local delicacies should be noticed.
